Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 LTE with iPhone

In addition to reading the time, the main use cases are making phone calls, sending text messages and setting alarm clocks, all of which are of course voice-operated and very often without the mobile phone in range, i.e. via the watch's LTE connectivity. Conclusion: The use of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 together with an iPhone is not recommended because Samsung Pay could not (November 2020) be set up on the Samsung Watch in this way and because text messages cannot be received or sent without a connection to the cell phone (in the combination of Apple Watch and iPhone this is possible to a certain extent if the iPhone is located somewhere and has connectivity). Furthermore, the main use-cases mentioned in the introduction cannot be handled well via the language assistant Bixby, Bixby is anything but reliable.
